Patou is one of the oldest French fashion houses in the world and Parlour X is delighted to be the first Australian boutique to showcase the collection. Founded in 1914 by the creative genius, Jean Patou, the brand almost instantly transformed women’s fashion. The initial collection included evening gowns, which were effortless and chic, and very ahead of their time.
Jean Patou launched his brand with famous clients including Louise Brooks, Joséphine Baker and the Dolly Sisters. After his premature death in 1936 his House continued to be a fashion mecca for future celebrity designers including Marc Bohan, Karl Lagerfeld, Jean Paul Gaultier and Christian Lacroix. The brand is renowned for its upscale ready-to-wear and haute couture lines. Elegant and refined designs that frequently include pricey fabrics and meticulous craftsmanship define the brand's unique style. Patou is regarded as a famous and iconic brand with a solid reputation in the fashion business.
In 2018, Patou was relaunched under a new creative director Guillaume Henry.
